FEUILLETON is a collection of articles written by Jina Park. Articles appearing on this site are selected works which have been published in various magazines between 1999 and 2008.

Jina writes on art and design for magazines in Korean and English. She is currently corresponding contributor for several magazines, including Monthly DESIGN and WOLGAN MISOOL Monthly Art, and Chronos Korea. She contributed to Contemporary magazine (London) as Vienna editor (2003-2008). She also wrote for a number of columns for Design Jungle, Future of Industrial Design (now designdb),  NOBLESSE, HAUTE, TransTrend (Hana Bank culture magazine),  Culture Space (Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Seoul), and a number of print publications.

Jina studied sociology at Yonsei University (B.A.) and art history at Hong-ik University (M.A.) in Seoul. She was editor at Newsweek Korea (Joongangilbo Daily Newspaper, 1994-1997) and guest editor for Monthly DESIGN (1996-1998). She worked at the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution (now Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.), MOMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York), and Peggy Guggenheim Collection (Venice, Italy).

Her contributions include “George Catlin and His Indian Gallery“ (September 6, 2002 – January 20, 2003 at the Smithsonian American Art Museum), “MOMA2000 – Open Ends“ (September 28, 2000–March 4, 2001) and “Gerhard Richter – Forty Years of Painting“ (February 14– May 21, 2002).

She translated Idolizing Pictures : Idolatry, Iconoclasm and Jewish Art by Anthony Julius (Thames & Hudson, 2001/ trans.2003, Chohyong Education) and 20th Century Design by Jonathan M. Woodham (Oxford History of Art, Oxford University Press, 1997/ trans. first press 2007, Sigongsa).

Jina also conceived and curated the contemporary art exhibition  Open 24 Hours – Life on the Edge, which has been on view at Chungmu Art Hall in Seoul, thanks to a grant by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture in 2007.

박진아는 미술 평론가, 디자인 컬럼니스트, 번역가, 전시기획자로 활동하고 있습니다.

연세대학교 사회학과와 홍익대학교 대학원 미술사학과를 졸업하고, 1994년부터 1997년까지 중앙일보사 한국판 <뉴스위크 Newsweek> 誌에서 제작위원으로, 1996년부터 1998년까지 월간 <디자인> 지의 객원 기자로 일했습니다. 1998 년에 미국 스미소니언 국립 미국미술관, 1999년에 뉴욕 모마 (로버트 스토어 Robert Storr 하 MOMA2000) 전과 게르하르트 리히터 회고전 (Gerhard Richter Retrospective 전시 연구원), 2000년에 이탈리아 베니스 페기 구겐하임 컬렉션 (Peggy Guggenheim Collection Venice)에서 일했습니다.

2001년부터 각종 국내지 <디자인 정글>, <열린세상>(SK텔레콤), <트랜스트랜드>(하나은행), <산업디자인><designbd>(한국디자인진흥원), 월간 <디자인>, <오뜨>, <노블레스>, <공간사랑>(LG 화학) 등에 다수의 컬럼을 기고했으며,  <컨템포러리> 매거진(영국)의 비엔나 에디터로서 미술 평론 기고를 했습니다. 현재는 <월간미술>, 월간 <디자인>, <크로노스 코리아>에 정기 기고하고 있습니다.

번역서로는 <미술과 우상: 우상 숭배, 우상 파괴, 유태인 미술> (원저자 : 앤소니 줄리어스, 조형교육, 2003년 [템즈 앤 허드스 출판사])와 <20세기 디자인 (Twentieth Century Design) [옥스퍼드 미술사 시리즈]> (원저자: 조나단 M. 우드햄, 시공사, 2007년 초판 발행, 2009년 2쇄 발행, 2011년 3쇄 발행)이 있습니다.
